Additional Tips for Adding Hyperlinks and Images to Your Blog
Photos can help you to better convey your message to your readers especially now that we have become a more visual society. They can be used in your blog post as fillers when you are short on words. When tagged and labeled correctly, your images can also help with traffic as they can show up in Google images searches. Also, by making them clickable you can direct your reader subliminally because they are very likeable to click the photo if it is hyperlinked.
Hyperlinks are a great way to help your readers find their way around your blog and in some cases work really well then they look natural in the flow of your text. Use hyperlinks to lead to other areas of your blog creating deep linking as well as contributing to on page SEO or to your affiliate offerings.

Brenda,
Initially I thought these two concepts were under my belt. Having watched your videos, however, I learned that I was not uploading photos correctly. The how to videos were easy to follow and I’ll never have an issue of uploading a photo again—thanks to you.
Thanks! This was enormously helpful:)

Hi Brenda!
Great videos and Great information as always. I love your videos – they are so informative and easy to follow.
Removing the link of the photos so they don’t go “nowhere” is something I didn’t think about so that was especially helpful to me. That’s where mine were going LOL
Thanks for sharing!

Boy do I wish I had found your blog a long time ago. I sweated bullets and on occasion was ready to throw my computer out the window in frustration when I was initially learning about blogging.
Great way of explaining, Thanks!

Thanks Brenda,
Highly useful information because I get in a hurry some days and forget stuff I mistakenly thought I knew how how to do it’s great to have a blog that refreshes my memory and that I can send people to when they ask me how to do it and I skip a step or two in the process.

Brenda,
You really are gifted at creating these tutorials. I can do hyperlinks, but putting images into my blogposts has always been a challenge. It’s having the vision and then doing the research to find the perfect one that slows me down.
Thanks for inspiring me to take action on that,
Adam

Hi Brenda,
These were terrific videos and you happened upon one of my pet peeves as well. I get very annoyed when I click on a link or image and find myself being taken away from the page. Thanks so much for helping to spread the word. ~ Linnea

Brenda,
You took your time and really showed the advantages of adding images with key words (tags and titles) attached and then hyperlinking that image to a link where you’d like your readers to go. These are small steps that gave make your blog post much more powerful.
I liked how you showed how to hyperlink to a friend’s blog, but to be sure your blog is not closed in the process. As we all help each other here in TSA, this is an excellent way to give more exposure to your TSA family.
Thanks for doing this great tutorial.

Brenda…great helps here. I think sometimes we take it for granted that everyone knows how to do these things. But there are a lot of people out there (even experienced people) who have never taken the time to learn many of these ins and outs.
I actually created some similar videos for these reasons as well.
Thanks!
Brenda
Hi Bruce, I see a lot of tutorials that are good but not detailed and forget that one things comes before the other. I will stop by your blog as internet marketing is a continual process and I am always looking to sharpen my saw.

Hi Brenda!
So pleased to be on your blog and to “meet” you! This is an excellent set of tutorials that addresses some really key issues. I don’t think I have these problems, but not because I knew something! LOL! It has been sheer dumb luck. Now I will go back and look at all these things and make these choices on purpose.
I really appreciate the value you are adding to our community.

Brenda – This post is awesome!! You make everything seem so easy because of the time and effort you put into explaining how to implement these things. I was tagging my pictures for SEO purposes but have not been using hyperlinks. I need to get on it! Thanks for the info!

Hey Brenda,
Great blog here. It’s really a great service you have, providing some basic information to beginning bloggers. I think so many of us strive to put out advanced information that we forget that there are people out there that can really use help in some of the simpler, but essential techniques.
Brenda
Kathy I agree, there are lot of newcomers to this space and remember how it was for me when I first got started.

Wow. Lots of great information here, Brenda. I never knew any of this about images. In truth, I’ve never even considered clicking on a picture before. Am I the only one? So do you link all your images to something? Most images I use I don’t really want them to go anywhere….I just want a visual representation of what I’m discussing. I’m probably missing something completely logical, but not sure what it is!

Brenda
Beth, most times images are used for aesthetics reasons. However, they can double as a link. I like you add images to my blog to enhance the look as well as relevancy to my post. It really depends on the desired result you are looking for. You can certainly make them clickable linking out to an offering or another post…But whatever you decide don’t have them leading to no where.
Nice comment Beth
